Police officers responded to reports of shots being fired around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday after a fight broke out at what was described by authorities as an “unannounced and unauthorized concert event within the neighborhood.”
Deckard said a total of 14 people were injured in the shooting. Some of the victims were treated on the scene, while others were transported to local hospitals.
The incident remains under investigation.
The North Charleston Police Department did not immediately respond to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment.
